I can never stop posting this. The narrow minded bible fanatics that just look at one small thing in the bible then feed the world with their hate over it. At the same time they ignore all the other silly laws made by man they claimed were made by god. These gif’s say it all.
Ugh. These gifs only scratch the surface. Rant incoming.
Let’s address both arguments. First, the Bible does say that homosexuality is a sin. However, it does not differentiate homosexuality from ANY OTHER SIN. The implication here is that because everyone has sinned at some point, nobody has the right to condemn another.
Second, according to the Bible, Jesus’ death and resurrection was the fulfillment of Mosaic law (found in Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy). Therefore, it has not applied for approximately 2000 years. That section of the Bible is there as a reminder of what the Israelites went through, not as directions for people to follow today.
This whole issue is just like that story about the blind men and the elephant. It’s impossible to get an idea of what the Bible is about by looking at individual parts of it. It needs to be viewed as a whole. It’s not a list of rules for modern Christians to follow. It’s a story of love, justice, grace, and redemption. Please please PLEASE message me if you have any questions/concerns/comments/love/hate/etc. This is very important to me and I’d be more than happy to discuss it with you.
